Lincoln Weis earned a degree in Bachelors of Landscape Architecture from the School of Environmental Design at the University of Georgia. He has maintained his own company since 1993 and has worked for and contracted with several landscape firms in the Atlanta area over the last 15 years. He has worked on large government based projects and apartments to smaller residential clients. Lincoln has an extensive knowledge of southeastern native plants, which he incorporates into his design plans.
Currently, he contracts for Trees Atlanta as the Director of Operations in their large urban tree planting and maintenance program. Lincoln is responsible for identifying and locating potential tree locations along with coordinating the installation of and maintenance of those trees. Each year, Trees Atlanta plants over 500 trees in the urban program and 2400 in their Neighbor Woods Program. Lincoln received his certification as an arborist in 2008.
For over 10 years, Lincoln has taught at SCAD, formerly the Atlanta College of Art. He taught garden design and drafting.
In addition to his love for landscape design, he enjoys gardening, furniture making, photography, triathlons and bike racing.
